The Chemin des Valises district in Le Muy offers a peaceful setting on the edge of the Massif des Maures, surrounded by vineyards and typical Var hills. Here, you can enjoy the tranquillity of a residential environment while being just 6 minutes by car (3.3 km) from Le Muy town centre, where one of the region's best-known Provencal markets is held twice a week. The location is ideal for those seeking a balance between nature, privacy and easy access to amenities.
In the immediate vicinity, you'll find a number of typical restaurants, wine shops and bakeries in the centre of Le Muy, all within easy reach by car. Wine lovers will find the prestigious Château de Bern less than 15 minutes away, while sports enthusiasts and families will enjoy the many hiking trails in the Massif, or the Parc Aoubré and its adventure courses 10 minutes away.
For a seaside getaway, the beaches of Fréjus/Saint-Raphaël are around 29 minutes' drive away (23 km). Numerous routes will take you to the villages of Les Arcs and Roquebrune-sur-Argens in less than 15 minutes, as well as the TGV station at Les Arcs-Draguignan (about 8 minutes by car), making it easy to get to and from the resort.
The very close centre of Le Muy also offers regional bus routes serving Draguignan, Fréjus/Saint-Raphaël and the surrounding villages, ideal for criss-crossing the Var without the stress of parking.
Le Muy, an ancient town crossed by the Nartuby river, has been the scene of historic events - notably the liberation of Provence during the Second World War, symbolised by its war memorial. The town is also appreciated for its natural landscapes: century-old plane trees, shady riverbanks, colourful markets and village festivals bring local life to life.
Le Muy lies between the Provencal hinterland and the Côte d'Azur coastline, making it an ideal base from which to discover the hilltop villages of the Dracénois region, such as Les Arcs and Lorgues, explore the wine route or enjoy water sports on the Argens river. All around, the Var offers an authentic experience of Provence, combining lifestyle, history, culture and outdoor pleasures.
It's an ideal location for enjoying the peace and quiet, recharging your batteries in the heart of nature and discovering the best of south-east France at your own pace.
The villa is ideally accessible by car from the A8 motorway. From Nice or its airport, follow the A8 towards Marseille, then take exit 36 " Saint-Tropez/Le Muy ". The journey takes around 50 minutes (73 km). Once there, take advantage of the secure private parking directly on the property and a charging point for electric vehicles (see terms and conditions with the host).
The nearest international airport is Nice Côte d'Azur (50 minutes away). On site, you can hire a car to take you to the accommodation or take a taxi/shuttle. For greater independence, car hire is the most practical solution.
From these stations, we recommend hiring a car or taking a taxi to reach the villa quickly and easily.
Le Muy is served by the Transdev Var regional network, with a few stops in the town centre (stop " Le Muy Gastinel "). Bus routes link Le Muy to Draguignan, Fréjus and neighbouring towns, but there are only limited services on the Chemin des Valises. For easy access to the villa, you may prefer to take a car or taxi.
By car, allow 25 minutes to reach the beaches of Fréjus/Saint-Raphaël (22 to 25 km), shops, Provencal markets or the Massif des Maures. Le Muy is also an ideal gateway to the Var vineyards and the hinterland.
- On foot: the centre of Le Muy is 3.3 km (44 minutes on foot) from the villa, which is still feasible for walkers, but the distance is more comfortable by car or bike. For shopping, restaurants or markets, plan to take the car.
- By car: The use of a car is strongly recommended for all local travel. Parking is easy thanks to the on-site car park.
- By bike: The region lends itself well to cycle tourism, with beautiful routes through the surrounding countryside and villages.
Taxis can be booked from the centre of Le Muy or in advance to reach train stations, the airport or the beaches.
