Located in a peaceful residential area, the Hameau de Provence neighbourhood in Lorgues offers an authentic setting, between greenery and the gentle Provencal countryside. Just 12 minutes' walk (around 800 m) from the historic centre, your accommodation opens the door to one of the Var villages most prized for its art of living and colourful markets.

In the immediate vicinity, you'll find all the essentials: bakery, supermarket, pharmacy, local craft shops, and every Tuesday, the famous Provencal market in Lorgues, renowned throughout the region. When it comes to gourmet delights, the Michelin-starred Chez Bruno, famous for its truffles (a 4-minute drive away), is sure to delight food lovers. The centre also boasts numerous restaurants to suit all tastes, including Carnets de Voyage (Av. Allongue) and L'Estellan (Route de St Antonin), all within walking distance of the accommodation.

As for activities, Lorgues offers a lively calendar, with concerts, exhibitions, guided tours of its medieval streets and, in season, open-air festivals. Walkers and cyclists will love the surrounding countryside and the many signposted footpaths. Less than 25 minutes away by car, the spectacular Sillans waterfall ( Sillans-la-Cascade 22.5 km) promises a refreshing and unforgettable getaway.

As far as transport is concerned, Lorgues does not have a railway station but is served by bus routes linking the neighbouring towns of Draguignan (line 11), Les Arcs (line 14) and Vidauban, making it easy both to go on day trips and to arrive from the Les Arcs-Draguignan TGV station (≈20 min by car).

Lorgues also boasts a remarkable historical heritage: this medieval bastion of cobbled streets has retained its authenticity with its fountains, ancient churches and impressive stone houses. Over the centuries, the town has naturally been enriched by its winegrowing industry: today, several renowned estates open their cellars to visitors for wine tasting (). The region, with its wooded hills, rivers and vineyards, is an enchanting place for its diversity of landscapes and the tranquillity it inspires.

Getting around Lorgues and the region from "La Bohème"

Getting to Lorgues by car:

Lorgues is easily reached by car via the D10 or D562, close to the A8 Le Muy-Draguignan exit (approximately 25 min). The property has free on-site parking, and you will find free spaces along the white fence and the wall of the building. Several public car parks are also available just a few minutes away, including the Parking Barbacanne (1 Rue du Verger des Ferrages), the Parking Jean Moulin (59 Bd de la Libération) and the Parking Rue Amiral d'Entrecasteaux, ideal for visiting the centre.

Coming by train:

The nearest SNCF train station is Les Arcs - Draguignan, just 15 km from Lorgues (around 20 minutes by car or taxi). It offers direct connections to Marseille, Nice and other major cities.

Access by air:

There are three convenient airports for Lorgues:

- Toulon-Hyères (1 hour's drive, approx. 71 km)

- Nice Côte d'Azur (1 hour 15 minutes' drive, approx. 94 km)

- Marseille Provence (about 1 hour 30 minutes' drive, approx. 128 km)

From the airports, you can hire a car, book a taxi or take a shuttle to the TGV station at Les Arcs-Draguignan, then continue by taxi or bus to Lorgues.

Getting around by bus:

The Zou regional network serves Lorgues, with line 10 in particular (Draguignan / Vidauban / Les Arcs). The main stops in the town centre provide connections to neighbouring towns, Les Arcs-Draguignan station and Draguignan centre. The "Lorgues Centre" bus stop is less than 15 minutes' walk (1 km) from the accommodation.

Bike hire:

There are two bike hire companies in Lorgues that let you discover the countryside by bike:

- Châteaux à Vélo

- Vélo Concept Store (Saint-Antonin-du-Var)

Take the opportunity to explore the surrounding vineyards and villages in a fun and environmentally-friendly way.

Getting around the area on foot:

Lorgues town centre is just 900 m away (13 min walk) via a pleasant, shady route (Av. Allongue/Chem. du Gaz, then Bd Clemenceau). Everything is within walking distance: Provencal market, shops, restaurants, cafés and historic heritage. Ideal for getting away from it all!

In short, whether you arrive by car, train, plane or bus, "La Bohème" is the perfect base from which to explore the green Provence!
